Overcast Oregon Coast Engagement Session at Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor
Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor on the Oregon Coast is one of my favorite strips of coast in Oregon. It has magnificent beaches, plunging cliffs and just epic views for 12 miles. From secret beaches, to huge waves crashing up against the cliffs, it has it all and is such a beautiful spot to take engagement photos or to elope! Meghan & Reed had that exact thought!
It was a bit overcast but that didnβt stop us from running around Samuel H. Boardman Corridor. And I mean we literally were running on the beach lol Meghan and Reed have an adorable Corgi named Edison and she definitely stole the show. Between running around the beach, too playing fetch with mom and dad and even taking a dip or two in the ocean no matter the temperature, she was living her best life. We started their session at Secret Beach, which is only a short hike down from the parking lot. We practically had the whole beach to ourselves and we were stoked about that. Edison enjoyed a few good runs along the beach. Then we headed over to a spot that had some cliff views.
One of my favorite thing about Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor is that itβs only a 30 minute or so drive to or from the Redwoods in Northern California! Thinking about eloping at the Redwoods but also want some Oregon Coastal photos? Or vice versa? This area of the coast will be perfect for that! Maybe get an Airbnb near Crescent City, CA or Brookings, OR, do your first look and exchanging of vows surrounded by huge and beautiful Redwoods, can even have family be there for the ceremony, then head to Samuel H. Boardman for some sunset portraits with beach views! Have a picnic in between, hire a private chef, the possibilities are endless in this beautiful area. So many spots to consider for an epic elopement!
