Secret Beach, Oregon Elopement Inspired Engagement Shoot
I will always take any chance to run around Samuel H Boardman Scenic State Corridor in Oregon. It is still one of my favorite stretches of coast and the views are spectacular, rain or shine. We lucked out with AMAZING weather during this shoot and the sunset did not disappoint. Laura and Jason contacted me two weeks before their trip to Oregon. They said they were coming all the way from Texas and wanted to finally take some professional photos, so why not start with engagement photos at the Oregon Coast! Laura said she had a second wedding dress that she wouldn’t be using for their special day and didn’t mind getting dirty. Jason is a huge hiker and active person while Laura loves the beach and long walks. Secret Beach was literally perfect for them and I had so much fun getting to know them!
Even if Secret Beach may not be as secret as it one time was, it is still one of my favorite spots. I love that you still need to hike a little to get to the spot, but also the views are just stunning once you get there. I think it could be such a fun spot to do a little elopement at. With guests or none at all. Since Samuel H Boardman Scenic State Corridor has so many other amazing spots to see, it is easy to pick Secret beach and another few locations and have a perfect Elopement day!
I will always cherish the memories I get to photograph at Secret Beach, including this one of Laura and Jason. It's moments like these that remind me why I love being a photographer, capturing the beauty and joy of life's most precious moments in the great outdoors.
