Hug Point Couple Shoot | Sam + Mike |

A Fun and Romantic Couple Photo Shoot, at Hug Point Oregon

We had such a fun Saturday in late March running around Hug Point with Sam and Mike. When we got to the coast to start the session, the tide was a little higher then we would have liked. If you have never been to Hug Point before, it has many cliffs and caves to explore but to access some of the strips of coast, you need the tide to be somewhat low so you can go around the cliffs. These two were determined to get to the other side, even if that meant we were getting wet. Sam and I took off our shoes and socks, while Mike and my husband Marcus decided to just risk it all lol We tried to time the tide and run when a wave was retreating but we definitely got a little wetter then we planned. We laughed about it and honestly it wasn’t too cold so we just embraced the rest of the shoot. Also, this was their first shoot and honestly you would have never guessed it! They were so natural in front of the camera and it made my job so easy.

These two met in Military school and have been stationed all over the world. Their next location will be Germany, which if you know me, has such a special place in my heart since my mom is German and I have visited many many times before. Marcus was also in the military so it’s always fun talking to others who have been in the same place as us before. So excited to see how their next adventure pans out in Germany!

It's moments like these that remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. The ability to freeze a moment in time, to capture raw emotion and genuine connection, is something that never fails to move me. While Sam and Mike braved the waves and embraced the adventure, I was reminded once again of the power of photography to tell a story, to evoke emotion, and to create lasting memories.
